Final meeting report

Over the course of two days, 22 people from 6 countries participated (list of participants). Government, academic, and non-governmental organizations were represented. The Working Groups, formed at the First IABIN Council Meeting (Miami, FL, December 1999) met to address, in general, the work to be accomplished on behalf of IABIN over the following 18 months and, specifically, the development of proposals for funding further IABIN implementation. OAS hosted the meeting, which was co-chaired by Vanderlei Canhos, Brazil, and Barbara Bauldock, United States. Jorge Rucks, Chief of the Latin American Regional Division of the OAS, welcomed the participants.
