Phases for IABIN Development

Development of IABIN can be divided into four phases. Each builds generally on the previous phases, but all areas of development are interrelated and progress concurrently to some degree.

Governance structure development and outreach to increase participation;

Prototype technical operations, including pilot projects and metadata development;

Network-wide integration of standards and development of thematic areas; and

Development and use of applications.
